Happy Birthday Kuma (20)

 Happy birthday Kumi. Daddy loves you baby girl. A pat on your head and a million kisses., scratches behind your ears and a million more kisses. Today you are 20 years old. Almost a third of my life with you and forever with you in spirit.

Kuma you are what is good in the world. You were my connection to love. Through you I understood and felt what is most important in life. Thank you for that Kuma. You changed my life. You helped quiet the distractions in life and helped focus on the only thing that matters and is real, time with each other. Quiet time together. Feeling your warmth, lying pressed up against me and being happy that all is right witht the world. That is what you wanted the most, just to be with me - after you ate and went for a walk. You lived to be with me. You held on and faught against so many things that tried to get you down, just because you wanted to be with me. I know that. The vet said three years earlier that you would not live through the winter and yet you lived three more years and became happier and healthier as time went by because you just wanted to be with me.

Kumi I want to be with you too. I am sorry that you were stopped and killed before you could wake up. One day, when it is my turn, I will be with you. Until that time, I will walk and sleep with you in my head and I will remember you and everything that I learned from you. We are together forever in my head and beyond.
