Blog about Kuma Girl the Beautiful Bouvier des Flandres

Kuma did not die!

Her life was taken away from her. It's a very very big difference. The people who all said to let her go and kill her, did not know Kuma. Actutally, only I knew Kuma and I was not sure. But, I did want to give her a chance to wake up.

Her admitting Vet who examined her was the one that suggested we do what we need to do to stabilize her and give her a chance to wake up and then evalute.

But the Vet on duty the third day did not want to wait and wanted to end it quickly that day. I would like to know what she based her decision on other than she had seen other old dogs. But, she did not know Kuma. I knew Kuma and she did not talk to me about what she was doing. What was the rush?

Kuma was not in pain. She was just sleeping from all the Valium. She may have woken up just like she did from her other seizures and this time we had a plan of how to make her life better with anticonvulsant and anti-infammatory medication.

Why did we not give Kuma the chance to wake up? She was doing her part and healing. She was healthy. Sleep was good for her because it was calming down whatever was going on in her brain.

It was just bad luck that this Vet was on duty and that she took upon herself to call Cheryl and ttell her that there was no hope for Kuma and that she was wasting her money. It was bad luck that this Vet actually did waste the entire cost of the hospital stay by reverting Kuma right back to where she started with inducing her with seizures.

No, Kuma did not die. She was healing and she fought to live at the end. Her life was taken away from her. She had more life to live. She should be here now. The injustice done to this little innocent little girl who never would have harmed anyone herself is what is the hardest to accept.

Kuma's ashes are now at the hospital. But I am waiting to go pick them up when the admitting Vet Dr. Claudia will be working. I want to know how this Vet Dr. Lefebvre was allowed to do this. I have asked for a copy of Kuma's file. Dr. Lefebvre said ok, but no one will be available to explain it to you. This will not bring Kuma back, but I need to know why this was done like this.
